SunSpot ("we", "our", or "the app") was built with a fundamental commitment to user privacy. We do not collect, track, share, or sell any of your personal data.

1. Device Sensors & On-Device Processing

• LOCATIONCompass & Solar Tracking: SunSpot uses your device's location strictly on-device to calculate astronomical solar positions, azimuth angles, and sunrise/sunset times using NOAA formulas. Your GPS coordinates are never transmitted to our servers or stored externally. (A non-identifiable latitude and longitude query is securely sent to Open-Meteo solely to fetch real-time cloud cover conditions).
• CAMERAAmbient Light Meter: The camera sensor estimates ambient light levels (lux) in real time and allows you to attach photos to your custom spots and plants. No camera streams, video feeds, or photos are ever uploaded or transmitted outside your device.
• PHOTOSPhoto Library: Access is used only when you manually choose a plant photo or save an exported care schedule calendar to your photo library.

2. Apple iCloud Sync

Your saved spots, folders, and plant care records sync seamlessly between your personal devices using Apple's secure CoreData & CloudKit infrastructure. Your data is stored directly in your private Apple iCloud container and encrypted by Apple. We have zero access to your iCloud data.

3. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

All in-app purchases, subscriptions, and free trials are processed directly by Apple StoreKit. We never see, process, or store your credit card, billing address, or payment details.

4. Zero Third-Party Tracking

SunSpot contains zero third-party tracking SDKs, zero advertising frameworks, and zero analytics trackers.

SunSpot operates under the standard Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA).
